"OUR players and coaches are feeding off the energy and enthusiasm that is being provided by our members.

"It's great to see this being reflected in our improved on-field performance."

Carlton CEO Cain Liddle praised the passion and influence of the Blues' supporter base as the AFL playing group prepares for a third relocation in as many months.

It was announced last night that Carlton would be on the move to Perth, taking on Hawthorn, West Coast and Fremantle as a footy fixture frenzy grips the nation in August.

Citing the need to be agile, flexible and open-minded, Liddle said the commitment of the Club's players, coaches and staff had made the last few weeks possible: with promising results on the field to show for it.

"In an environment that changes by the day, we have adapted to every situation that been thrown at us and have done our members proud with strong performances both on and off the field," Liddle said in an email to members.

"Whilst we aren't yet clear what the final six rounds of the season will hold for our club, we expect to be returning to Queensland to complete the season after our three games in Perth."

While Carlton's first five games of the season were played in front of empty stadiums, recent weeks has seen Queensland-based Bluebaggers making some noise at recent 'home' games at Metricon Stadium and the Gabba.

Ahead of the move to Western Australia (with attendances of 30,000 permitted), Liddle said the playing group was relishing the chance to be back out in front of the Navy Blue faithful.

"It was fantastic to finally see navy blue back in the stands for our last two games. To see our members and supporters turn out in numbers, no matter where we play, proves just how big and passionate our supporter base is," he said.

"Knowing how much support we have in WA, it will be fantastic to see the Navy Blue faithful in full voice at Optus Stadium."

Liddle also highlighted the importance of the Club's commercial partners, with Hyundai to once again partner this Saturday's Back our 'Baggers game.

"It's our way of saying thanks to each and every one of you for putting this club on your back and carrying us through 2020," he said.

"I just want to reinforce how grateful the Carlton Football Club is to have your support as a member. You are the reason we exist and our players can't wait to see the stands full of Carlton members again."
