THE squad is in for the first hit-out of the 2021 AFLW season.

Carlton will have the chance to put all the hard work of the pre-season to the test when they take on St Kilda in a practice match this Saturday afternoon

Kicking off at 12pm at Ikon Park, the game will give a number of new Blues the opportunity to get a taste of footy at the highest level with new Blues Winnie Laing, Daisy Walker and Mimi Hill named in the squad.

Excitement will also be high among the likes of Elise O’Dea, Maddy Guerin and Charlotte Hammans who will pull on the Navy Blue for the first time after arriving at Ikon Park during the trade period.

The practice match will be the perfect opportunity for Senior Coach Daniel Harford to determine the best line-up ahead of the 2021 AFLW season opener against Collingwood in under two weeks.
