AFTER playing one match for the Blues back in Round 6, Summer Hall had her life flipped upside down as she was offered a permanent spot in the list, resulting in her moving from Sydney to Melbourne.

Hall previously was a train-on for the GWS VFLW team and more recently has been playing for the East Coast Eagles in the Sydney AFL competition, where she represented her state in the 2025 Women's Representative Match against AFL Canberra.

“I think that being at East Coast and GWS has definitely helped me, in a leadership position, they have definitely provided me with many opportunities when it comes to being a leader in a group," Hall said.

“Before I went back to Sydney, me and Aasta had a conversation about what I need to work on and I think definitely want to nail down on those things and want to progress.

"Not only as a VFLW player, but I want to play AFLW in the future and I definitely think this is a place where I can make that happen”.

Hall is loving training full time with the VFLW Blues, looking to improve and develop in any way possible.

After her Round 6 debut, Hall has since been selected for the next four outings with the Blues, taking on an unfamiliar role on the wing.

In her Round 10 game, Hall slotted her first goal in Navy Blue, along with 14 disposals, seven contested possessions and five tackles.

“I am absolutely loving it: the girls have been nothing but supportive and they have really allowed me to be myself, I feel really lucky and just really welcomed”.

“It was actually my second time really playing as a winger, so I haven't played there very often, but I had a lot of help and a lot of talk from the girls, so I actually felt quite comfortable, which was really nice," she said.

Hall previously played with fellow teammate Emily Hurley at the East Coast Eagles in Sydney.

Now reunited with Hurley at IKON Park, having a friend has made the transition easier into a brand-new team.

“It's been really nice to have her, she's been nothing but supportive and has been amazing with helping me in any aspect, so I'm very very grateful for her”.
