CARLTON’S No.1 and No.2 guernseys will be worn very soon.
That’s the prognosis from Director of High Performance Andrew Russell, who said that Jack Silvagni and Paddy Dow are likely to be in action this week.
Silvagni has been on the sidelines since sustaining a bruised lung and fractured rib in the opening minutes of the one-point win over Essendon.
Having missed the last two games, Russell said the expectation was Silvagni would be right to go this weekend.
“He was close to playing last week, he didn’t quite get up,” Russell said.
Patrick Cripps will be good to go on Sunday.

And there's a positive outlook on Paddy Dow, Marc Murphy, Jack Silvagni and Tom Williamson: the full injury update is now live. #OwnTheFuture
“He trained today, he moved well. He’ll train on Friday and we expect him to be available this week.”
Dow could also make his return on the weekend in a reserves hitout, with the third-year Blue having been out of action since the competition restart.
With a training block behind him, Russell said all signs pointed to Dow being ready to return.
“He has continued to have a really good block of training,” he said.
“He has two more training sessions to go and we expect him to be playing this weekend.”
